Learn about DonnaBellas Angels<\/h2>

DonnaBellas Angels is a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides inspirational art to the public for mental health wellness.\u00a0 The art incorporates uplifting colors and themes such as angels, butterflies, hearts, poems, positive words, and\/or prayers.\u00a0 <\/p>

The purpose of the art is to provide hope and encouragement to recipients.\u00a0 DonnaBellas Angels\u2019 motto is, \u201cMedicine Heals the Body, Art Heals the Soul\u201d.\u00a0 Laurel Latto, DonnaBellas Angels\u2019 artist and founder, came to the idea of creating the non-profit after working in cancer research and appreciating the importance of emotional wellness in coping with stress, anxiety, and depression that may accompany an illness.\u00a0<\/p>

How we Provide Art to the Public<\/h3>\n\n

The art is made available to the public in multiple ways.\u00a0 Original paintings are provided on loan to medical clinics or wellness centers. Art prints and postcards are distributed to the public for personal use mainly through medical clinics and non-profit wellness organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n

The public can also request limited art royalty use.\u00a0 Recipients sign a contract describing how they will use the art.\u00a0 Examples include using it on a wellness cards, cancer boutique mailers, fundraiser walk t-shirts, banners, and local clinic posters.\u00a0 Groups locally fund printing costs and include an art credit reference into the design.\u00a0 DonnaBellas Angels reviews and approves a design mock-up prior to printing.<\/p>\n

Shohini Ghosh, World Renown Sculptor, created \u201cMy Angel\u201d sculptures made in soft stress foam.\u00a0 The non-profit has also paired with AwarenessGallery.com<\/a> to provide inspirational awareness ribbons.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Past Art Donations to the Public<\/h3>

Cancer Therapy and Research Center (San Antonio, TX) <\/strong>received original paintings, art prints, and postcards.\u00a0 They were used to decorate the patient clinic areas.\u00a0 Postcards were placed on waiting room information tables for people to take for personal use.<\/p>

Feel My Beauty Cancer Poem Angel Painting Mays Cancer Donation<\/figcaption><\/figure>

Texas Children\u2019s Cancer Center (Houston, TX) <\/strong>received art prints for decorating a respite room for patients, loved ones, and staff. Additional prints were provided in a basket for kids to take and decorate their rooms. Staff used the \u201cColorful Cancer Angel\u201d on a t-shirt fundraiser.\u00a0 Funds raised were used to buy blankets for their DNR cart.\u00a0 Royalty use of the art requires the group to sign a contract that gives them permission to use the art for their project.\u00a0 Printing costs are covered by the local group.<\/p>

DonnaBellas Angels provided art prints which were\nframed for clinic decoration as well as art prints in the\nbasket that patients and loved ones could take home.<\/figcaption><\/figure>

Carol G. Simon Cancer Center (Morristown Medical Center, New Jersey) <\/strong>received art royalty use. They used the art to create cards with messages of hope and inspiration for patients and caregivers that were distributed in new patient packets.<\/p>

St. Dominic’s Hospital (Jackson, MS)<\/strong> used \u201cRainbow Cancer Heart\u201d art to announce their new hospital cancer boutique.\u00a0 Art was featured on a billboard, postcards, and rack cards.\u00a0Groups using the art need to add an art credit reference into the design.\u00a0 DonnaBellas Angels reviews and approves a design mock-up prior to printing.<\/p>

St. Dominic\u2019s Hospital used our art to help launch its cancer boutique. \u201cRainbow Cancer Heart\u201d was featured on announcement postcards and rack cards, and a t-shirt. Faith, Hope, & Love Angels were used on wellness tip cards for patients and caregivers.<\/figcaption><\/figure>

An elementary school classroom <\/strong>used the inspirational word art series as the basis for a lesson to discuss words, colors, and potential meanings. After they reviewed the DonnaBellas Angels art, kids made their own inspirational word art painting.\u00a0 They had so much fun, a few stayed in from recess to be able to complete their art project<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
