Holding hands during chemo infusionPlease see our blog for current updates at http://donnabellasangels.blogspot.com/Mother and child with cancer

We are hoping to increase distribution to medical clinics. Right now we are working by word of mouth, but with increased fundraising we plan to proactively contact institutions to inform them of our organization and services.

We plan to offer more products like a pillow, "My Angel" angel figurines, and rag doll angel pattern. An oncology nurse suggested turning the paintings into a figurine that patients could hold onto while getting their cancer treatment. We will create a new painting that will be painted specifically for a fabric pattern that people can download and print from our website (at no charge). The image will be a high quality image that people can print on special inkjet paper which can be use for fabric transfer. Check back later for this product!

Chemo Room Receiving InfusionDonnaBellas Angels History

We are a non-profit dedicated to providing inspirational art with healing images to medical clinics, patients, and caregivers. Our aim to help provide emotional healing to patients and their caregivers who are receiving treatment for chronic or terminal illnesses.

DonnaBellas Angels donates original paintings to medical clinics that have inspirational healing themes. In addition, DonnaBellas Angels provides art prints that nurses, patient advocates, and hospital chaplains can distribute directly to patients and caregivers. DonnaBellas Angels also provides its art free to groups who want to fundraise for medical research, e.g., Relay-For-Life team banner and t-shirts.

The idea for our group started about in 2005 as Angels4Oncology when founder, Laurel Latto, had an idea for a cancer angel painting. We became a non-profit in 2007 and had our final Federal approvals by the end of 2008. We are an exempt 501(c)3 non-profit with the IRS.

Past Projects & Partnering

Here are some highlights from previous years. As always, we have distributed thousands of art prints to individuals and hope to increase those numbers in years to come!

2009 Calendar & Events

  • Wipe Out Cancer Angel paintingWe partnered with Doctor's Care "Wipe Out Cancer" Relay For Life team. The event benefits the American Cancer Society. We allowed them to use our art on t-shirts which were sold as a fundraiser. We designed a banner for their booth and provided them with luminaria cards. Both used DonnaBellas Angels art. Doctor's Care paid for the printing costs. The booth theme was "Wipe Out Cancer". DonnaBellas Angels created a "Wipe Out Cancer Angel" painting that was donated to their medical clinic.
  • We had a booth at the DownTown San Diego Relay for Life event. We brought original art for display and gave away art print samples.
  • Serenity Prayer Angel Spring Hearts Cancer AngelRainbow Cancer Angel We donated two painting to Pasco Pinellas Cancer Center in Florida. "Spring Hearts Cancer Angel" is at their Tarpon Springs location and "Rainbow Cancer Angel" is at the New Port Richey location. We also donated "Serenity Prayer Angel" to Family Medicine of Vincennes in Indiana.
  • Camp Beyond ScarsWe partnered with The Burn Institute for their annual summer "Camp Beyond Scars". DonnaBellasAngels provided art supplies & craft design for “Create Your Inner Portrait”.  Children tThe Burn Instituteraced the outline of their body on paper then filled it with statements and pictures about what they love, like, and hope for in life. Burn injury, whetheraccidental or inflicted remains one of the leading causes of childhood death and disfigurement in the United States. For those children who survive a serious burn injury, permanent scarring, physical deformity, social isolation and emotional trauma linger well beyond the initial tragedy. Each year children, ages 5-17, attend a weeklong summer camp held in the foothills of San Diego County.
  • We had two fundraisers. The first was an exclusive after hours shopping event at Lilly Pulitzer at Fashion Valley Mall. The second was a wine and silent action event at Wine Cabana in Old Town San Diego.
  • We had an art open house at Surface Esthetics in Del Mar.
